I recently graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Secondary Education. I chose Secondary Education because of my love for teaching ever since I can remember. I did my internship as a student-teacher at the Maryland Public Schools. I enjoyed assisting ninth and seventh grade students realize their potential in Social Studies. I am able to assess the needs of the individuals and use the information to give specific instructions designed exactly for them. These specific instructions allow me to use different teaching styles and plans of action that will keep them engaged. I create an atmosphere that is not only supportive, but also pushes the individual to excel. I am able to tutor individuals in Spanish, Social Studies, and English. In addition, I am able to help them write essays in two languages, vocabulary build, combine Spanish verbs, and interpret historical literature and events. I believe the students should play a part in their own learning. I provide them with small regular reports on their progress. I like to keep growing and making myself better, and I welcome feedback and comments from individuals on how I am doing. I believe in myself and know that my passion and knowledge for teaching will help you thrive. I am excited to work with you!
